Elevating Australia – Malaysia Bilateral Relations
The Australia – Malaysia bilateral relationship recently added a new milestone to its long history – the elevation of bilateral ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. Beyond the optics and rhetoric, what are the tangible opportunities, and also the shared challenges within the three thematic areas of cooperation – economic prosperity; society and technology; and defence and regional security – identified in the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership? How can think tanks, academic institutions, CSOs and other non-governmental stakeholders take advantage of the low hanging fruits to deepen the scope and depth of bilateral and multilateral cooperation?
