Dr Larry Wong

Wong has more than 38 years of operational experience in business development and policy analysis, and his engagements continue to straddle the public and private sectors. His key areas of expertise are food security, agro-food supply/value chains, public-private partnerships in agriculture, rural development, regional integration and sustainable development. He has held senior positions in the Malaysian Agricultural Research and Development Institute and Economic Planning Unit of the Prime Minister’s Department. He is also senior adviser to the Myanmar Rice Federation, visiting senior research fellow of Myanmar’s Centre for Economic and Social Development, Asia-Pacific Agricultural Policy Forum board member and member of the editorial advisory board for the Asian Journal of Agriculture and Development. He has a PhD from University of Kent-at-Canterbury, MEc from University of New England, and BAgricSc (hons) from University of Malaya.
