Analyst Lee Min Hui spoke at the Malaysian Women and Girls Forum, alongside Tengku Aira Tengku Razif and Tehmina Kaoosji, delving into the care economy, gender-responsive budgeting (GRB) and parental leave.

Min shed light on misconceptions surrounding #GRB and why it should benefit all segments of society.

She also highlighted the need for more sustainable modes of financing for parental leave, such as tripartite funding, which spreads the cost across the government, employers and employees. The move will be decisive in redistributing caregiving responsibilities.

Organised by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the forum was hosted by Astro AWANI.
