Overview

Global insecurity and increasing political volatility across regions have affected humanitarian aid and action over the past few years.For the ICRC, one of the biggest challenges is ensuring the continuity of services in complex security situations where the need for assistance reaches unprecedented levels globally.
Given the changing regional security climate in Southeast Asia, such as the Marawi situation, what are the challenges that lie ahead for humanitarian action and aid? How would institutions such as the ICRC cope with the challenges? Will humanitarian organisations be able to adapt in fulfilling their aims?
