Overview

Inclusive development is the mantra of today’s economic practice‎. However, with a change in the market – including labour – landscape; the imposition of standards through regional and global integration; as well as government fiscal and monetary policies, inclusive development is easier said than done particularly when human rights are increasingly used as a measurement of achievements. What are the policy puzzles for consideration? What is the common responsibility of states? The case of Indonesia will be discussed against the evolving regional and international settings.
