Dr. Daniel (Danny) Leipziger is Professor of International Business, at George Washington University’s School of Business and Managing Director of the “Growth Dialogue” a forum that links academics, government figures and local and international experts with a common interest in the developing world and its progress, a successor to the Commission on Growth and Development that he co-chaired with Prof. Michael Spence, the 2001 Nobel Laureate in Economics. Dr.Leipziger served as Vice President of the World Bank for Poverty Reduction and Economic Management (PREM) and Head of the PREM Network of more than 700 economists and other professionals working on economic policy, lending, and analytic work between 2004 and 2009. He is a widely published author and co-author of the recent book on “Stuck in the middle: is fiscal policy failing the middle class?”
