Natalie Shobana Ambrose
As well as her role with ISIS, Natalie is also a columnist with theSun, a Malaysian daily, and has published regularly under her fortnightly column On Pointe which highlights social concerns and issues of social injustice.
She was bestowed the Pingat Pekerti Terpilih (Medal of Great Achievement) for her service to the Perak Royal Family and received the Merit Service Award for her work with ISIS Malaysia.
Natalie has also worked at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Malaysia. Her professional interests include ASEAN, human rights, non-traditional security, foreign policy, negotiation and mediation practices.
Natalie is a Chevening Scholar with a Masters in International Studies and Diplomacy from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) University of London. She has completed the taught section of the Masters in Strategy and Defence Studies from the University of Malaya, Malaysia and holds a BA in Sociology from Massey University, New Zealand.
