Fellowships Available

ISIS Malaysia is offering fellowships to Malaysian scholars for tenures of 8 - 12 months for the purpose of furthering their research, resulting in the publication of a book or monograph on topics relevant to ISIS Malaysia’s research programmes.

Programme Requirements
The applicant
• preferably, must have a Ph. D. in political science, international relations, economics or in related disciplines of ISIS research programmes and
• must have a demonstrated ability to conduct professional, in-depth research and deliver presentations in English.

The Fellow
• must be available for a full-time affiliation with ISIS for the entire period of the tenure;
• is required to research and write a book or monograph which will be published by ISIS Malaysia. This research piece must be submitted in final form at the end of the tenure;
• is expected to participate in the activities of ISIS Malaysia in the relevant areas of research; and
• will have to present his or her research findings at an ISIS seminar.

Fellowship Fund
Each fellowship is for a maximum value of RM100,000.00.

Every applicant is required to provide the following information:

• The applicant’s resume or curriculum vitae, listing professional and educational experience and   publications, nationality and full contact information.
• A detailed outline of the proposed book or monograph
    - giving a preliminary title
    - tentative contents page
    - a 2-3 page summary of the proposed research topic.
