Overview

After 60 years of bilateral relations, Indonesia and Malaysia are committed for stronger bilateral economic ties. Malaysia has remained as one of Indonesia’s most important trading partner. At the same time, growing presence of Malaysian companies in Indonesia and their increasing roles in Indonesian infrastructure development further reinforce economic interdependence between the two. What are the lessons learned from the past experiences of Indonesian economic policies and the Malaysia-Indonesia economic cooperation? What can be done to generate more investment flows between the two? What are new areas of economic and business cooperation for continued welfare of their people?
